The AWS Learning Accelerator

The AWS Learning Accelerator is perfect for beginner to intermediate AWS users (think the person who has familiarity with AWS concepts, but struggles to apply them in real projects). By the end of this course, you'll be confident using AWS services like Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SNS, API Gateway, IAM, and more. You'll also learn how to pick the right services when designing a system architecture on AWS.

Do you ever feel like...

  • You would be more confident for a job if you had more hands-on practical experience building on AWS?

  • You waste time in the AWS console trying to learn a service or spend hours reading thick documentation?

  • You wrote "AWS Certified" on your resume but hope nobody asks you to prove it?

  • You struggle deciding when to use what AWS service?

  • You would rather spend less time fumbling through the console and spending more time actually building what you love?

Then this is the course for you!

Learn about fundamental AWS services like:

Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS), Amazon API Gateway, Amazon Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Amazon CloudWatch.

Superb!... Great AWS instructor, clear, informative and a great entry point to understanding AWS

Jon Draper

Loving this course. Having stumbled around with ec2 and Lambda blindly. This methodical 'learn by doing' approach is exactly what I needed.

The best part of this course was how the design is divided into three parts to explain the design flow step by step. Breaking the design down made it easier to understand the "big picture". There are plenty of visuals and the code is explained in detail. Six commonly used AWS services are covered with a real-world business use case. I am much more comfortable working with the AWS management console. This hands-on course was very valuable for me, and I'll be taking more of Daniel's courses. You will learn a lot if you are new to AWS services. I highly recommend this course.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What kind of AWS services will I learn and use?

You will learn about and use S3, Lambda, Rekognition, DynamoDB, Simple Notification Service (SNS), API Gateway, IAM, and Cloudwatch.

  • What kind of project does the course focus on?

In this course, you work for a Passport office that is looking to automate the detection and validation of human faces in user submitted photographs. After evaluating an image, you will store its results, notify clients, and provide APIs for other microservices to access the results. The entire project is built using Serverless AWS components.

  • What programming language will I be using?

You will be using Python for the coding portion of the course. Some Python experience is recommended but not necessary - any programming experience should do.

  • How long will the course take me?

The course has approximately 20 lessons and approximately 3.5 hours worth of content.

  • How much will I get charged by AWS when following along with this course?

If your AWS account is less than 12 months old, you will not be charged a single cent. Otherwise, you can expect a very small charge (guaranteed less than $0.10). You can always sign up for a brand new account to avoid the charge.

  • Will I get to use Infrastructure as Code?

No. I firmly believe the best way to learn AWS is to get hands on in the AWS console. Infrastructure as Code is better suited once you have a solid grasp on the fundamentals and is beyond the scope of this course.

  • Will I have lifetime access?

Yes! Each course comes with lifetime access for all course contents including supplemental materials.

  • Do you offer discounts for organizations?

Please email Daniel directly at [email protected] to learn more about bulk discounts for organizations.

  • What is your refund policy?

If you're not happy, I'm not happy. If you're unsatisfied with the content, please email me at [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase and I will gladly issue you a full refund.
